Coat Hunting

Coat Hunting

Honestly, why is it so hard to find a nice coat these days? The tweed coat I bought from Macy’s got returned last week because it was ridiculously too big for being a “small.” La Redoute has cute options, but the fits only go down to size 4. Bluefly? Boring. J.Crew? Expensive. What’s a girl to do?

Apparently, she should turn to Victoria’s Secret. The clothing department there bizarrely has some really great coats at reasonable prices. I love the cut of this pink coat. If only it came in teal (I’m dying for a teal coat this fall). I may go for this empire waist coat in red instead. Jean, any favorites?

well it doesnt help you for right now, but decide which jcrew coat you want, go try them on for size, and the wait, during their big winter sales you can get them super cheap in the store and online (though sometimes not returnable, so its good to know what size is right).

that is how i got my jcrew camel coat.

before that one i had a beautiful black wool coat, and i was on the train in france one day and had put the coat with an umbrealla and a few things on the overhead rack, and when i went to get it down my beautiful coat was gone, and all that was left was a really cheap black coat from teh french equivelent of walmart. oh man, i was not happy with the french after that one 🙂

I was flipping through the mountain of catalogues I seem to have these days. You order one thing and suddenly you’ve got 50 companies sending you stuff. Anyway I seem to remember some cute coats. I’ll look again and let you know.
