Shopping challenge: Weekend bag
My Ollie and Bette luggage has seen better days. A few too many trips on the baggage carousel has left my set of weekend luggage looking a little ragged. It’s time to but a new weekend bag:
- Le Sportsac Weekender – I don’t normally count myself as a fan of Le Sportsac but I saw a stylish girl at Oakland international carrying one. This pattern in muted colors isn’t as “Japanese LSD” as some of the other options.
- Banana Republic Travel Bag – Apparently BR thinks that only men travel? This bag in leather is basic but kind of boring.
- Hartmann’s Walnut Tweed Collection – Drool! But at $428 I would cry if I had to check it in at the airport. Why is it that everything I like this week costs $400?
- Hilfiger Roll Bag – Hello eBags! This bag is a little prep for my taste but it’s only $54!
- Urban Outfitters Weekender – This is just right! At $88, it is cheap but not too cheap. I love the unique pattern and the fact it has a green lining and a matching luggage tag. Sold!
Me and my worn out luggage will be in San Luis Obispo the next few days visiting family, eating good Mexican food and seeing Dames at Sea. Have a great Labor Day weekend!
