What to Wear: Resolutions

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to dress more creatively at work. My outfits have recently fallen into a turtleneck-skirt-flats rut that is somewhat frumpy. Cutting back on the turtlenecks and finding cute flat shoe alternatives will be a challenge. Here’s one option:

• Sweater – A cardigan and blazer all rolled into one. I just wish Anthropologie had it in other colors too.
• Tee – Basic black from Urban Outfitters with a built in empire waist.
• Skirt – I really need a denim pencil skirt to add to my collection. It’s a perfect balance between “office” and “stylish.”
• Purse – What is more fun than a red handbag?!
• Boots – Non-hideous flat black boots. I still haven’t made it to Nordstrom to try these on.
• Earrings – That Met jewelry sale is so alluring!

I love, love this outfit. My sister is out shopping downtown today, maybe she could pick it up for me 🙂
