Fall Shopping Must Haves
I browsed through the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar at the nail spa on Sunday and got a major case of fall fever. Here’s what’s on my must buy list for the next couple weeks:
- A pair of black tweed lined wide leg trousers. Think Hepburn.
- Bright colored low heels and flats for work.
- A great new pair of jeans.
- A fun red (more toward raspberry) coat.
- Lots of tights.
- A go with anything velvet blazer (gray).
- High waisted pencil skirt.
- Black, stacked heel boots.
- Voluminous tops.
- A perfect navy handbag. (Sort of like this?)

That’s just about my list – minus the stacked heel boots. At 6 feet tall, I’m happy if I can balance on kitten heels!
I went looking for the items on my list last week, and there are some great low-heel/flats at Steve Madden, and I scored an excellent fitting pair of wide-leg trouser cut denim at the Gap. Both are highly recommended!
I second the tights. I want a huge collection- lots of designs (stripes/florals) and colors.
I work at home and so my wardrobe is very casual. But I like these short sleeved hoodies that seem like the perfect combination of cozy and keeping my sleeves out of the paint (very important). Chelsea found me one on sale at J. Crew, but if you see any other cute ones.. (I like bright or rich colors) let me know. 🙂
I’m not as adventurous as I’d like to be- probably some tights, new boots, and some great new sweaters. I cleaned out about half of my fall/winter wardrobe this summer, so I gotta stock back up.
what is a good place for fun tights? On the web or in the city?
Also, how about doing a “perfect bag” lineup??!!! What to wear is part of the problem… what bag to carry with it is another 🙂
