Weekend Round Up: Delta Blues
This was a particularly lazy weekend. A period of rest so different from our normal routine that it shocked Rob’s system into a terrible cold today.
On Friday, we went to dinner at a sushi place in the Metreon and then to see Vantage Point with some co-workers (it is worth renting).
Saturday morning was pure sloth. We had oatmeal and coffee for breakfast and watched an episode of Planet Earth. At 11:00, we packed up the car and headed to Galt for a friend’s baby shower. The route from San Francisco takes you through the delta area, full of goats and boats. We had a nice time at the shower and headed back to the city at 4:30. Sarah called to change our plans and we didn’t have to rush back. So we made a stop at Marshall’s and took some scenic roads:
Back at home, we had a quiet dinner and played some music.
Sunday morning, it has become our routine to watch the political news shows in the morning with breakfast. This time we had spicy egg tacos and coffee.
Sarah, a friend from high school who lives in Santa Cruz, came up at 11:00 and we drove to Ocean Beach for brunch. The weather couldn’t have been nicer. We sat out on the patio at Park Chalet with bloody mary’s, onion strings, ceviche, steak skewers, a mediterranean pizza and a banana split…a feast!
The lawn was packed when we left at 3:00 and walked over to the archery field. A quick round of shooting and then she dropped us off at home. I had a nice nap and Rob and I spent the rest of the afternoon researching honeymoon locations and getting organized for the week ahead.

Feel better Rob. Sounds like a nice relaxing weekend. Those are good every once in awhile. 🙂
We love the Park Chalet on a sunny day, nothing better! Hopefully you snagged an adirondack chair, A
Every Sunday morning we get the sunday times (it’s actually easy to find in SF thank god, or we would be too homesick) and then we read it, and then watch Meet the Press. It’s so nice and relaxing.
