Urban Girl Almanac: Fall in the City

Urban Girl Almanac: Fall in the City

It’s been another busy week here in San Francisco. Unfortunately, I was mostly booked up with doctor’s appointments instead of parties. Here’s what I learned:

  • A Prairie Home Companion is the saddest movie ever. Seriously, move over A Walk to Remember.
  • Scheduling voting, work, hip diagnosis and the opera for the same day was a little much.
  • The current production of Barber of Seville is one of my favorite San Francisco operas thus far.
  • My hip is okay. My spine is maybe not so okay.
  • Mmm…pumpkin spice lattes.
  • After going to the doctor three times in seven days, you start to figure out how to pick smart outfits and underwear choices.
  • Sweater coats…I must have one.
  • Getting locked out of your apartment causes forced neighborhood appreciation.
  • I want to dress like a Paris apartment.
  • A lunch consisting of one huge cup of coffee, one call with a reporter and one large glass of white zinfandel may seem like a decent idea at the time. But trust me, you’ll feel bad in about 45 minutes.
  • Free white zinfandel is the best kind of white zinfandel.
  • Do you have $750,000 lying around? You can buy this house in my neighborhood.

Rob and I don’t have any plans for this weekend! We might do some archery, but it looks like it is going to rain. If it clears up on Sunday we might take our Christmas card photo. Have a great weekend!

I saw that house was for sale today! Before I lived in my current apartment I lived across the street from that house. Right next to the fire station.

How cute! My sister and her boyfriend almost lived right next to the fire station too.
