What to Wear: Paris Apartment Inspired
I was browsing apartment rentals in Paris last night at home. For about $2,500 a week, you and six friends can rent this fabulous Parisian apartment in the Trocadero neighborhood.
Fireplaces, chandeliers, molding…perfect! It is fun to browse through these listings online, even better to turn them into a party outfit:
- Skirt – This skirt comes paired with a matching blazer at Saks…yikes! That would be a near fatal amount of brocade. But on its own for $158, it works.
- Sweater – So nice with a little bit of detailing around the neck.
- Clutch – In metallic gold leather. I recommend tying a brown satin ribbon around it to tone it down a bit.
- Shoes – Brown satin peep toe pumps. These are the shoe equivalent of the wood side tables in the photo.
- Earrings – Chandelier earrings of course. This pair is vintage faux pearl and crystal.
- Coat – This brown wool coat balances the outfit and keeps it from being too “Marie Antoinette.” The herringbone pattern also reminds me of old French parquet floors.
I would wear that! I was worried when putting this outfit together that it would be too over top. But it ended up pretty and with a very French flair.

Cool! I’ll definitely keep that in mind 🙂
