Things I Love Today: Zuzu’s Petals

I got locked out of our apartment last night for a few hours. Rob was at the gym without his cell phone and I didn’t feel like bothering our “housemother” for the spare keys. So instead, I walked around Lower Haight.

It was so cold and all the stores were lit up with twinkle lights. It felt just like Christmas! I bought a few things at Doe and Zuzu’s Petals. And had a latte and read the New Yorker at Squat & Gobble. Even though I was sad about being locked out, it was kind of nice to spend time enjoying the neighborhood at night.

Christmas in the city is so wonderful. I can’t wait for things to really get going in a few weeks.
