Things I Love Today: Miette
They served these beautiful Miette cupcakes at Tuesday’s birthday party. They tasted as good as they looked! Check out the cake gallery for more inspiration.
I’ve never visited this pĆ¢tisserie and confiserie in the Ferry Building, maybe we will this weekend with Rob’s parents!

That gallery is unbelievable! I think I need a cupcake immediately.
You really must go to Miette — their candy store is definitely one of my happy places in SF. And it’s a great place to take visitors — close to the Blue Bottle kiosk, across from the park on Octavia, and Hayes Valley itself is pretty charming. Try the macaroons! I go for the apricot or strawberry ones, my boyfriend loves the rose geranium flavor. They are really light but intensely flavored cookies.
those cupcakes look amazingly delicious-i’m almost too afraid to see the rest of the gallery..it might make me jealous š
Hi Emily, love your blog. You have to go to Miette! I’m from Arizona, and I go there every time I visit San Francisco. The Ferry Building store is awesome, but the Hayes Valley shop will make you swoon.
oh great. apparently they ship macarons (on ice, overnight). as if i needed to know that!
really though, their caramels look fantastic. i may have to order a few batches before school starts. i can see myself keeping a handful in my bag just in case.
The confiserie IS great and the penny candy is almost just that! A lot of stuff is .10/piece.
