Our friend Sara in Europe wrote in with a request for help finding a place to put photos in her living room and maybe a rug too. I love to help! I suggest staring by putting a skinny “entrance” table along the back window. I chose this table is from Ikea for $179.00 because it…

There is a tiny floral shop down the street from us that makes lovely wedding arrangements. So when I needed flowers for Paul and Celeste, I immediately gave them a call. Church Street Flowers has agreed to do the bouquet for a really good price and I love their designs. All I requested was something…

I saw Dave Chappelle and Mos Def eating at an outdoor cafe on 16th street! Rob and I were on the 22 bus home when someone in the back asked “doesn’t that guy look like Dave Chappelle?” We all went nuts! I serious love Dave Chappelle! Block Party was genius and I have watched every…

I really need to put up more personal photos in our apartment. I have one of Rob in the living room in an antique silver frame and one of me as a baby in the bedroom. We have so many great photos of our friends and families, they need to be displayed somewhere! I am…

Paul and Celeste are getting married in Yosemite this weekend. Rob is the photographer, our friend Ken is the official, Ken’s girlfriend and I are the guests….and that’s it! Rob and I leave tonight for our camping and horseback riding weekend in Mendocino. I’m excited to explore this unfamiliar part of the coast and to get in some relaxation. In the meantime, let’s go over the lessons I learned this week: It’s no fun being sick, but it is a good opportunity to catch…

Trader Joe’s just started carrying Gimball’s black licorice scottie dogs in their stores. These natural licorice candies are made in San Francisco. Tasty and cute! Rob even broke his cardinal rule of not snacking on the way back to the office to grab a handful! We were hungry from visiting the Nordstrom Rack sale on…

Heidi and I brainstormed a great idea for a new club last night. She’s very artisic and is looking to meet new people in Santa Cruz. We came up with an idea for a monthly art club! It would work a lot like the LAC, with a different member hosting each month. But instead of…

After our first kickball game of the season, Rob and I dashed home to change and catch the bus to Valencia Street. My cousin, Heidi, was meeting us at Cha-Ya for a late dinner. One of the greatest things about San Francisco is the number of dogs tied up outside of restaurants and stores. For…
