Wedding Wednesday: Wreath

Wedding Wednesday: Wreath

Our wedding venue has a cute round door between the garden and main hall. It’s a door that needs a wreath. I asked my florist about doing something with flowers, but even he said it would be wildly expensive. A dried wreath is much, much cheaper and it is something I can put up at home after the wedding.

This yarrow wreath from Sur La Table is my current favorite.

I like the idea of a dried wreath anyways because when you use it afterwards, it will always remind you of your wedding.

I had a dried wreath made for the door at my wedding..15 years ago, yikes!!…it now hangs in my guest bathroom, it is one lasting reminders of my wedding.

I used to love having company after our wedding and using the leftover monagram napkins (just a classic intial..noting tacking). I think I am going to order more..thanks for taking me down memory lane.

    Love your blog

At first I though, ewww dried wreath, but then I realized that it’s going to be this great keepsake from your special day. I think it’s a lovely idea.

I love the idea of wreaths for weddings. It’s actually an old scottish tradition that symbolizes a wedding is in session. We did two rose wreaths on the doors of the church for my wedding and they looked absolutely gorgeous, but I was sad they wouldn’t last. I love your idea of the dried flowers!
