Not yet convinced they're the best thing ever? How about…
To Do: Tunisia?
Tunisian food on Sunday combined with a description of a trip in Tunisia in Tender to the Bone, have me thinking about an exotic trip to Northern Africa.
The New York Time’s travel section is always the first place I start my research.

I went to Tunisia several times and I loved it (it’s only a three hour flight from Germany). I like the food and the nature is amazing. One time we stayed at a hotel at the border of a desert and did a camel ride in it, dressed up with typical tunisian cloth because if you don’t do it you will find sand everywhere in your cloth.
Be careful they are very good at selling you all kinds of stuff you don’t need especially carpets.
Loved “tender to the bone,” it made me hungry.
I’m a first-time poster, but have been reading for awhile. I spent a week in Tunisia in December and loved it. It is a really wonderful place. Such a great mix of Arab and European and really beautiful. I told my husband if we had been in Sidi Bur Said on a sunny day (it was rainy both days we were there), I would have told him to go get the kids, and I would wait there for them.
If you can swing it, I highly recommend it.
I really enjoy your blog.
I visited Tunisia last April – a very interesting and enjoyable vacation! I agree with the last poster too – Sidi Bou Said is wonderful!
Now I'm looking up the book Tender To The Bone – sounds like a book I should certainly add to my list of books to read!
