To Do: Make Ice Cream

Jordan and Paul are coming over tonight for dinner. It’s going to be a pretty simple meal. To add a little flair, I bought a bunch of fresh blackberries on sale last night and am going to make them into ice cream for dessert.

I thought I would use the simple strawberry ice cream recipe and just switch out the berries. Does anyone have a better recipe? Maybe I should toss some gingersnap chunks for a little crunch?

oh yum! we made blackberry ice cream at work with a simple recipe (just the blackberries and sugar and cream) and it came out tasting wonderful (we made it with liquid nitrogen instead of an ice cream maker but im sure it would taste the same made the traditional way 🙂
