Black & White Ball: American in Paris

The Art Student Ball scene in American Paris is a classic black & white ball inspiration. Leslie Caron is lovely in her star dress. And the gents, well, instead of tuxes they’re artists in goofy costumes – but still very handsome.

I think that this dress, along with Edith Heads black-and-white creation worn by Grace Kelly in Rear Window are my two favorite black-and-white dresses ever!
