From Farm to Table: Part 1
Hooray for Alemany Farm! This four acre organic farm is tucked away in San Francisco by the 280 freeway in Bernal Heights and run entirely by volunteers.
Rob, Trent and I so enjoyed our tour of the farm on Saturday. We saw the french-style vegetable rows, the fruit tree orchard and garden-style terraces. And sampled strawberries and ground cherries while walking around. We even tasted pizza cooked in a wood-fired oven made with ingredients from the farm.
And at the end of the day, we were invited to take home some freshly picked veggies. And that’s how we ended up with a huge amount of collard greens…
