Inspired: Rear Window
Rear Window earns a high place on my list of the best movies of all time. I watched it again last night, a perfect movie choice for an apartment dweller during a heat wave.
The technical quality of Hitchcock’s directing and vision is amazing, all those small details! The huge apartment courtyard set is a feat in itself. Jimmy Stewart is perfect as a cranky photographer. And Grace Kelly is a total knock out.
Her wardrobe is absolutely to drool for. The black and white cocktail dress. The black sheer dress. The white halter blouse with green pencil skirt. The blue dress with brown flowers. The satin nightgown. I want it all! Preferably, right this second.

Great movie and wardrobe!
I couldn’t agree more! It’s almost impossible for me to choose a favorite Hitchcock film, but this is definitely in my top five.
Oh, and how about that naughty little overnight bag that encased that nightgown. Pretty racy! I also love that the gorgeous “too good to be true” girl in a movie actually shares my name…Lisa.
One of the best movie wardrobes ever. I liked her wardrobe in high society too.
I love this movie!
I recently saw the movie at a cinema that shows classics. I was in the fifth row so was close enough to be absorbed by the stunning wardrobe I don’t remember noticing before! She looked amazing…. I left coveting that dress she wore when first onscreen… oh, who am I kidding? I loved it all.
