What to Wear: Valentine’s Day

Whether you love Valentine’s Day or hate it, you can still dress up on February 14th in something fun. I’ve put together two outfits: one for the classic romantic and the other for someone with a rebellious edge. Which outfit is more your style?

Outfit No. 1: The Romantic

Dress – A pretty dress in soft petal pink with a classic pleat in the front. On sale from Club Monaco for $140. 
Coat – A Calvin Klein wrap coat in dark red, on sale for $170. 
Earrings – Tiny rose gold hearts from Etsy for $30. 
Belt – Leather and metal belt with a modern twist from Club Monaco for $70. 
Shoes – Gold pumps with a lady-like heel for $50. 
Outfit No. 2: The Rebel
Coat – I love this pink boucle coat from Zara for $190.
Shirt – Forever 21 lists this $15  “Je T’aime” shirt as sleepware…which seems somehow appropriate for our rebel outfit. 
Pants – Eaton trousers from J. Crew in black, on sale for $118.
Earrings – $4 black heart studs from Forever 21. 
Purse – Studded cross-body bag for $125 from Bloomingdales. 
Shoes – Kitten heels in gunmetal silver for $97 from Kenneth Cole.

    Well he needs to have a job, likes to have fun, has some fun friends, active, likes wine, and is ok with my qwirkiness. Handy around the house, maybe I'd run into him at Home Depot picking up something for the backyard or something. What a great question for me to think about.

    Small dinner on the 14th, with one other couple, and dogs. Nothing too fancy, but fun. Dinner will be comfort-esque and followed by many rounds of Cards Against Humanity. 🙂

    Love the rebellious outfit, how about one for a V-day concert at the SF jazz center? Show will probably end late and we will end up getting Thai food around the corner as all of Hayes Valley will be booked up. Would love your suggestions!
