What to Wear: Homecoming

Today’s shopping challenge is a fun one. Jamie wrote in with a special request:

My husband is coming home from a short deployment to Armenia, and I will be meeting at the airport when he returns (in a couple of weeks). I’d love to show up in something casual, yet classic and beautiful.

A little about me, physically: 5’5, about a size 6/8, depending, bra size is a DD, so that can be a challenge – and I’m 27. Brown hair, brown eyes. I want to spend under $200.

This is a big deal! I know Jamie said casual, but I think she could play it up a bit for the homecoming. You can’t really overdress for a romantic airport reunion:

Dress – Textured cotton in a light blush color. Very feminine and on sale for $70. I think the halter top will work for a larger chest. If not, it would be easy to get a larger size and have it altered.
Cardigan – Chocolate cardigan with a small lace trim for $20.
Clutch – Pink crocodile for $13! How fun is that?
Shoes – Peep toe sandals with a sexy ankle strap.
Flower – A peony or rose for your hair makes it just a little more festive.
Camera – To take photos of the hubby.

Final total: $175. Be sure to wear his favorite perfume and get ready to kick-up your heels.
