Weekend Round-up: My first DVF dress!
Rain, rain, rain…when is it ever going to stop! It seems like this whole weekend was full of rain. Rain and fun, at least.
On Friday, we met up with Jean and Trent at the climbing gym for a workout and some delicious burrito wagon tacos. On Saturday, Rob and I had a leisurely breakfast before he went on a three hour bike ride with J & T. I used that time to run a few errands and cook up a vegan salad for my cousin’s b-day party. (FYI – microwave beets for 8 minutes and wear rubber gloves).
After lunch, Jean and I did a little shopping on Haight St. We visited our favorites: Zuzu’s Petals and Doe. And further down on Haight, I bought my first ever Diane von Furstenberg dress (as pictured here on Haylie Duff). What a momentous occasion! My cousin’s birthday party went really well. Her friends were nice, it was fun to see both cousins and the food was excellent for a potluck.
Sunday, Rob and I had out traditional crepes and newspapers breakfast. We then met up with Jill and Peter and Jelly’s for lunch and went to the de Young museum to see the new Arts & Crafts exhibit. Golden Gate Park was full of “Forget Me Nots” and cherry blossoms. It started raining very hard while we were at the museum. A quick trip to Villains on Haight for some rock clothes for Peter and then back home to dry out. Jean and Trent came over for a delish fondue dinner Sunday night.
Whew! Despite the rain, we had another fun weekend in San Francisco!
