Weekend Round-up: The SLO life

Rob and drove down to San Luis Obispo on Friday night for a weekend visit with our friends and family. I optimistically packed a bikini, a couple t-shirts and not much else. The weather on Saturday was, of course, foggy and cold!

Our first stop downtown on Saturday was my favorite designer consignment shop, Finders Keepers. I picked up a great blue pencil skirt with white embroidery for only $26. Rob went by his favorite Cambria Bike Outfitters and then we got some delicious Mexican food at Tio Alberto’s. After lunch, we were off to the beach with my parent’s dog, our friends and their dogs. Someone had left a fire smoldering and Rob “The Firestarter” built it back up into a little midday bonfire. How very OC!

That night my mom, friends and we went for dinner at Upper Crust and the boys went to a friend’s concert at the PAC. Later that night we met some old co-workers for drinks and dinner at Applebees (one of the only things in SLO that serves dinner after 10pm).

The weather was vastly improved on Sunday morning! Hallelujah! There is still some sun in California! Breakfast at Linnaea’s in the garden and a lot of shopping downtown in the sun. I bought a pair of big earrings, two tank tops, a four inch wide suede “rocker” belt, a pair of sunglasses and a keychain. Frozen yogurt ( I love calling it “Frojas,” not sure why) down by the creek before we headed back to my parent’s house and back home to San Francisco.
