Things I Love Today: Decorating with Ribbon

At only the first of December, I’m not feeling quite ready for a Christmas tree and all the trimmings. But it does seem right to deck the hall just a bit.

Last night I did some decorating with ribbons to make the house look festive. I tied two big red bows around the vintage gourd lamps on our bedside tables and wrapped a few packages in green with satin ribbons.

My favorite decoration so far has to be the front hall. I put out our folding triptych nativity scene from Argentina on the front table and tied a big red bow on the plaster bust. Doesn’t he look jaunty? That bow makes me smile just thinking about it!
