To Do: Spring Planting
Even the most die hard city dwellers can do a little farming. Rob and I have a butter lettuce and an Italian parsley growing in the kitchen window right now and a pot of tomatoes sprouting in the living room. I also want to try growing some celery sprouts to recreate a delicious crab and grapefruit salad I had in Atlanta.
Microgreens, such as celery sprouts, are a great apartment crop as are basil, chives, peppers and radishes. All you need is a sunny spot, a cute pot like this yellow one from Anthropologie and a good memory for watering. The best part is that you only have to keep these plants alive long enough to eat them!
