To Do: Host a Dinner Party

Dinner. Party. My two favorite words!

I’m excited because Rob and I have been invited over to dinner tonight by our friends Ben and Stacey. I love a good dinner party; the hostess gift, the wine, the conversation, the food, the candles and the dessert. It’s so nice to be invited to someone’s home.

I need to get motivated about having a few dinner parties of my own this summer. Maybe I’ll read through my copy of the 1941 classic, Entertaining is Fun, for some ideas.

I love Dorothy Draper! I keep her book always on my coffe table. Partially because I love her and partially because the book has polka spots on it. It is such a gift to be included in anyones entertaining because it’s so much work. I almost never entertain. Or, should I say that I play hostess at church often enough to kill my ambition for it at home. Have Fun!
