What to Wear: Comfy Peeptoes

Alison wrote in today with a detailed request for some shoes:

Hi! I came across your blog while trying to figure out where I can find some peep toe shoes, with a low heel. I am going to a wedding in a few weeks, and I have a nice black and white dress, with some fuchsia accessories. I really want to wear a peep toe shoe, but I can’t deal with extremely high heels… especially for a night full of dancing. I want to stay stylish, but I need comfort with a low heel.

I’ve been looking for a few days now and cant find anything 🙁 I recently hurt my ankle as well…. so higher heels hurt. Do you have any suggestions for me, I wear a size 10 (sometimes an 11).

I’m so glad that low-heel shoes are in style right now! How can anyone survive a long wedding without them? Here’s one shoe option for Alison along with an approximation of her outfit:

Shoes – My pick is a mini-wedge peeptoe from Fitzwell complete with comfort gel insert. Cute shoes don’t really come more comfortable than that! Available in black, patent and white for $64. The wedge provides a more solid base for that ankle than a kitten heel would.
Dress – I’m in love with this dress from Anthropoligie. If I was at all tan I would wear this all the time!
Clutch – From Forever 21 for $13.
Headband – Extra dash of color.
Bangle – $8 from Target.
