I think this was a really great speech, an historic speech. I agreed with so many of the ideas that Senator Obama put forward.

What I like about him is that I feel that he is good man, with a lot of character and that comes through in his remarks today.

I’m not voting for him because I don’t agree with his views on many, many issues. But, I like him anyway because I feel that he is a good and honest public servant who is trying to help people. I think that of John McCain as well.. I have Clinton Fatigue.. so I won’t comment there.

I am thrilled that we have an election with both an African American and a woman in a position to be elected president. I would love to vote for Condoleezza Rice myself.. alas she won’t run. 🙂

No cajoling needed, he has my vote already. I neglected a lot of work earlier today by reading the speech (faster than watching, but I will watch). Loved it and I think anything I say about it will only detract from the message.

I read the transcript yesterday. I think its an excellent speech and that his approach to racial relations is actually both sensitive and sensible. Go Obama!

His words are so powerful and hopeful. I’m the same way, when he speaks, I believe what he says and I believe that he will change Washington by bringing honesty, integrity and a hopeful vision to the White House. I also teared up at the end, during Ashley’s story and then “I’m here because of Ashley”.

When I watched this speech (in four different parts on youtube) I had the distinct feeling that it was a historical moment, and a speech that could/should be read by our children and children’s children in future history books. He truly makes me proud to be an American.
