Happy May Day!

Happy May Day! It isn’t freezing cold today, thankfully, so I’m wearing my brightest spring clothes and a flower scarf to celebrate.

My mother is great at celebrating holidays. We always dressed up for Halloween. Decorated an Easter tree. Put out the flag for Flag Day. Made Valentine’s out of doilies. And a couple times when we were little, she hosted May Day parties.

A full lawn of girls in pretty spring dresses. Making flower cones. I even recall a maypole. Go mom! Our LAC party isn’t until the 13th, but we’ll be making May Day flower arrangements then.
