Inspired: Ikea

The new Ikea catalog has me ready to put all our current furniture out on the sidewalk. Something about their laid back Swedish aesthetic is so perfect for my simplification kick. The best and most durable couch I’ve ever owned is still the $200 loveseat I had from Ikea back in SoCal. I’m craving a whole new set of furnishings with umlaut names.

On the smaller end of the spectrum, these tins that would make great containers for homemade gifts. And these ceramic jars with wood lids are another favorite.

the naming thing is so funny. our filing cabinet from IKEA has the same name as my husbands former PhD adviser. we got in the habit of calling it by its name instead of “the filing cabinet”

That love seat was awesome. I’m certain it is still living on in the apartment complex next to Mickey’s Monkey where I helped move it.
