Vacation Wrap-Up: North Carolina

Rob and I had one night back in San Francisco after Christmas before boarding a pre-sunrise plane to North Carolina. We were meeting my sister and her boyfriend for the extra week of holiday.

They met us at the gate for our layover in Houston with the happy news that they got engaged on their Mexican trip (Wedding Wednesdays are making a comeback!). We met once again at the North Carolina airport and rode to the new house they’ve purchased and rebuilt in Carrboro.

We had a relaxing week full of biking, cooking, lots of rocking out with karaoke video games:

Ice skating at the community center with every tweener from the greater “triangle” area. I think this my first roller/ice skating episode that didn’t involve brutal falls and giant bruises. Go me:

We flew back to San Francisco on Sunday, leaving just enough time for a load of laundry, packing up the Christmas decorations and dashing over to Oakland to visit with friends passing through town.
