To Do: Popcorn

To Do: Popcorn

We gave up our microwave when the new apartment’s kitchen didn’t have a good place for it. I honestly don’t miss it.

One benefit of being sans microwave is that I’ve been regularly making popcorn in a covered pan for a snack. A little olive oil, a few kernels and some sea salt. It’s easy and I think so much tastier than the packaged yellow stuff.

My mom got us a Whirly-Pop a few years back for Christmas and I love it. I make it with a little canola oil and sprinkle with salt when it's done. I rarely have more than three unpopped kernels!

Also, can't wait to see some pics when your patio garden is ready for it's close up.

oh i do agree! i fairly regularly make popcorn on the stove, but even still, i get excited to see the corn popping (i have glass lids for my pots) everytime. Oh, and i especially love it when it pops so high that the lid separates from the pot! 🙂

Popcorn on the stovetop is the best! Even better when made with some coconut oil (healthy for you and adds just a tiny hint of coconut flavor) an sprinkled with nutritional yeast (also very healthy).

Mmm, yes. SO much better and cheaper, I say. Win-win. Plus! You can make your very own kettle corn!
