Rob and I are off to Healdsburg this weekend! We're…
Urban Frustrations
City life can be so nuts sometimes. I was going to show yet another person my car this evening at 6:00 (a witch actually, but I’ll get to that later).
A business lunch eats up my noon break, so I decide to try the car wash at 3:30. It should be empty…right?
Nope. The entire place is packed with the dirtiest cars known to mankind: burning man cars. The dust infused vehicles are just back from a week on “the playa” and their sunburned, blue-haired, blissed-out owners are everywhere.
The car eventually gets washed, the mirror falls off and has to be reattached and I desperately need gas. Back at the office a hour or so later.
…only to find that the witch (a wiccan author who grew up in a commune) has backed out from the viewing and isn’t going to buy a car after. UGGGGGggggg.

I used to work with a witch and every time I got into the elevator alone with her I turned into a five year old. Too afraid to look her in the eye. Scared she might do something witch-like. I didn’t think about it much until it was too late, but I did come dressed as a witch for Halloween. I’m sure she hated me for it.
This post reminds me of the Sheryl Crow song “All I Wanna Do”…the line in particular goes like this:
“The good people of the world are washing their cars
On their lunch break, hosing and scrubbing
As best they can in skirts in suits”
Sorry to hear about your frustrating day. Maybe you can ask the witch if she’ll cast a spell so someone will buy the car. Just an idea…
Good idea about the spell!
Frustrating day. Sorry. I like the car buying spell idea too. Couldn’t hurt.
