Things I love today

This folding make-up trunk is pretty much crack cocaine for people who grew up with fully accessorized Barbie collections. The tiny drawers, the folding mirror, the elegant design…I think I am actually starting to drool.

Of course with a price tag of $2,400, you’d have to be pulling in a hefty “Doctor Barbie” salary to afford this trunk from the Conran shop.

Update: apparently this trunk is just one of the many drool-tastic pieces offered by a company called Starbay. Doesn’t every modern girl need a steamer trunk with fold out cot? If only it were 1917 again – sigh!

Hi! Haven’t lurked here in a while so I thought I’d come by and say hello. The jewelery box post caught my eye, I have a similar (but more modern) one that I got from the QVC website. It was considerably cheaper than the one you showed, lol, around $50 I think. I love it. Has about 6 drawers, necklace compartments on each side, and a top that opens with a mirror. It even locks with a key that has a huge tassle on it so you wont lose it. Very elegant, ended up buying another for my mom. So if you need a jewelry box and want to save 2k or so, lol, check out http://www.qvc.com 🙂
