I know that technically I can afford some of these…
What to Wear: Rainy Day
The rain today has unfortunately not stopped the Blue Angels from practicing their routine and constantly buzzing my office building. It is Fleet Week and that always means a few days of feeling like you’re in the middle of “Top Gun.” Here’s what to wear on a rainy day like this:
- Citizens of Humanity Jeans – I’ve been really happy so far with my new pair from Macy’s.
- White Sweater – From Old Navy. I like it in concept but wouldn’t buy until after I’d tried it on in person.
- Coat – On sale from Alloy for $70.
- Boots – From Aerosoles, so they’d be comfy and an okay switch from all my flats…right?
- Bag – I ordered this a long time ago from Alloy. It just arrived last night, pretty darn cute in person.
- Scarf – Half a Hermes from Bluefly in yellow and black.
- Bracelet – A basic gold bangle engraved with roses.
I wish I had brought an umbrella today. Luckily, I brought the car instead. No waiting for the bus in the rain!

Hmm, I am curiously intrigued by that sweater/shirt. Love how long it is and the little pockets!! But something seems not quite right.. I’d better go check it out! Cute outfit though! I can’t say I am missing the drizzle too much, but I am sure we will get our turn soon.
It’s got a kind of “smock-ish” thing going on, doesn’t it!
The bracelet is beautiful. And I too am a lover of Citizens of Humanity jeans. I wear mine to death.
love the whole outfit! i need some brown boots. i guess since im stuck in bed i can do some internet shopping for when i finally get to the states 🙂
I don’t think I could pull off many of those components – Maybe the umbrella. However, perfect for the rain and available at Bloomingdales which you now have, http://generation-adventure.blogspot.com/2006/10/what-to-wear-every-day-if-i-were.html
