Inspired by the World's Smallest Postal Service, I created these…
Gem Focus: Emeralds
Emeralds are another one of my favorites (not that I own any)! Emeralds are May’s birthstone and were a favorite in ancient Egypt. I love the color variations that are available, everything from lime green to dark pine. Here are just a few prime specimens:
Emerald Ring – At $38,000, we’re getting into Dede Wilsey territory…but, still. It is fun to drool.
Emerald & Pearl Earrings – Emerald cabochons, diamonds & freshwater pearls, these are perfect and they’re on sale. Only $4,500.
Emerald Ring – A lighter colored emerald, carved in art-deco style. $7,300.
Emerald Studs – These are lab-created emeralds so the pair of studs are only $99. My parents met a synthetic-emerald innovator on an Atlantic passage last year and thought he was nice…so I say, go for it. (Oops! They sold out!)
This is certainly a dangerous pursuit! Do you have a favorite emerald piece you own or covet? Share it in the comments section below.

I love my new emerald ring!! Also, I am a huge fan of lab made gems. Why not? Science is awesome and it is much better for the environment!
I agree with miss scientist. I have some really fun fake diamonds and they are really fun to wear. I just can’t help myself I always tell people they cost $25. That way they don’t have to be jealous.
