Wedding Wedneday: Bouquets
I have my appointment with the florist this afternoon. We’re making our own centerpieces but I wanted to have a professional make the bouquets and boutonnieres.
The idea is to use garden roses that will coordinate with the other flowers. I want the bouquets to be fairly small and looser rather than tighter. I’ll be posting bouquet inspiration all day in preparation for the meeting.
I really like the loose feel of this arrangement and the romantic roses.

The bouquet is lovely! I really like the contrast of the deep green leaves against the pale blush roses.
as a suggestion Why not have your designer do your center pc too. that way everything looks professionally and well done! why have gorgeous bouquets and so so center pc. After all your guest will be at the tables all night?~Tracy
Cost is one big reason. We’re saving easily $900 by doing the centerpieces on our own. Plus, I think they look great!
I too am doing my own centerpieces. I picked up over the last year metal, wooden and glass lanterns which candles will go inside and tea lights will surround them. We too, are on a budget and I’d much rather have something that will last long after the wedding to put in our sunroom and patio while bonfiring. I hope you don’t mind if I make a tiny suggestion to you Miss Emily….roses make an arrangement very heavy and when my sister got married, she had too many in both hers and mine….I thought my arms were going to fall off during the ceremony. I’m getting married in August so peonies are out as they only bloom in May, but am doing runculus instead and they look like a cross between an open rose and a peonie. You have immpeccable taste so I have no doubt that all that you have chosen will be fabulous!!!
Great tip about bouquet weight!
