Inspired: Antique Lace
There are so many things I’m excited about for the wedding! One of the best is my grandmother’s antique lace dress. My mom did some research today and identified it as probably being Alençon lace. Sometimes called the “queen of lace” it is handmade with needles.
I can’t even imagine how hard it would have been to make the single tapered piece of lace that goes from the empire waist to the short train. This detail photo is similar to the pattern on my dress.
