Music: That’s Not My Name

This song came on last night when I was at the gym for my first ever spin class. I had imagined that the class was going to be some sort of torturous, masochistic bad time…and it turned out to be something like that but also a lot of fun.

Anyway, I love this song because you can switch out the lyrics with almost anything. I had a whole version for my sister’s dog (“they call me Sadie, they call me pup, they call me good girl, they call me mutt…”) when we visited North Carolina. And I just may have a secret Barack Obama version of the lyrics. The possibilities are endless.

{ps: yes, it’s a weird yo gabba gabba remix of the song. it was the only one that would allow the embed}

    Oh, any other thoughts about spinning? I’m debating on trying it out but I’m somewhat scared i might die in the middle of it.

    Definitely try it! I worked on “ramping” up on the bikes on my own a couple weeks before, which was helpful.

    Keep an eye on the time so you can pace yourself and only do about 50% of the handle turn the instructor asks for your first time.

    I love spinning class! It's an great way to keep in shape during winter mos (we mtn bike in the summer) & just a fun way to stay fit! It helps to find a good instructor that uses good music to help pump you up.
    Just keep moving at a comfortable pace, no one is paying attention to you. And in no time, you will catch up with the instructor!
