A good read, especially during resolution season, from the author of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. How nice to be reminded of Peggy Guggenheim, grand salons, secret gardens and opera when planning a fresh year.

Definitely a very interesting book! Especially for Italophiles (is that a word?)– makes you want to visit Venice immediatley.

I was given this book as a gift, but have never read it. Guess I should pick it up off my shelf, huh?
