Spring Flowers

Spring Flowers

I usually like my flower arrangements small and neat, but this weekend I tried to expand my horizons. Combining pink jasmine, tulips, chrysanthemums, renoncules and this massive white and pink filler (I think it is a type of spanish broom) – resulted in vibrant spring arrangements that smell divine and are about as girlie as they get.

Along with two medium sized arrangements like the one shown here, I also made a giant bouquet for the table, a more modern arrangement for the den and a tiny bud vase for the bathroom. All for about $30 in supplies.

Cute! For a second I didn't know which flower you were referring to; now I know what it was: ranunculus! Besides dahlias and garden roses, those are my FAVE. I've planted them before too!

    Ranuncula are my favorite flower!

The colors are so varied and the richness of all those petals gets me every time.

Lovely! I live not too far from the flower fields in north San Diego county–acres of ranunculus in bloom every spring!
