The Secret to Good Sunglasses
I bought new sunglasses on sale at Macy’s last weekend to replace my missing pair.
Here’s the secret: shop in the men’s department. Not only are the sunglasses cheaper, they’re also not decorated with the extra gold, rhinestones and big logos usually on women’s glasses.

I really enjoy your blog and I couldn’t agree more. Everytime I look for sunglasses they have way too many embellishments on the side and such.
thats a really good point. i hate the logos and rhinestones.
you are so smart miss em.
I recently misplaced my Ray Ban Aviators and I can’t. find. them. anywhere.
My husband’s gonna kill me!
Three years ago I stole my (now) husband’s aviator sunglasses and have never gone back. They fit my face better and seem to have more staying power than the women’s sunglasses I’ve tried. Then again, the staying power may have something to do with the fact that I refuse to spend more than $20 on a pair of sunglasses (lost too many pairs sailing growing up). But even still, I’ve gone through three pairs of women’s sunglasses in the amount of time since I “borrowed” the aviator’s.
Good advice!
umm. genius.
