Inspired: Keira in Africa
Okay, okay. I might owe Vogue an apology. Earlier this month, I dealt them a backhanded compliment. Saying that I would continue to buy an occasional issue for the great photos, despite the terrible botox-soaked content.
I have to admit that the latest issue was pretty good. I read it at the hair salon last night. The feature on Keira Knightley in Africa was amazing and has me considering how realistic it would be to get this dress and two tickets to the savannah next week.

Great clothes, however I thought she looked unhealthy, far too thin. She looked gaunt on the cover, her cheekbones almost looked sunken in. What did you think?
my friend was just at my house today, scanning her vogue mag. these exact pictures. she loved them too. 🙂
Hello from Athens in case my newest email doesn’t get sent via Charter. Thinking a lot of you circa 2001 when you ventured all this way. Very nice hotel and good walking, which I may mostly do by myself. Those ancient Greeks scrambled up hills more easily than men born in 1929.
Love, Me
As someone who often looks far too thin (despite eating pretty much constantly), I have to stick up for Keira! I thought she looked really nice.
That is a gorgeous outfit. She is channelling Katharine Hepburn.
I’ve been on an African safari just like that. I stayed at a place very similar in description. I’ve been to the giraffe house and baby elephant preserve near niarobi. All spectacular even without the vitton blankets.
Africa changed me. You should definitely go if you get the chance. I look nothing as elegant as she does in my photo journal…and I never fell in love with a single frock…it was the landscape that stole my heart.
I don’t believe she looks unhealthy… People are quick to judge but some are naturally that thin. I wouldn’t dream of attempting to look like that would be unhealthy.
