Rob just replaced our old computer monitor with an LCD…
Things I do not love today: Shorts
I have an appointment with an orthopedist next week for my hip injury. Having to go to the doctor is bad enough, but being asked to wear shorts for your appointment is just terrible.
I hate wearing shorts and don’t own a single pair. The shorts I used for my physical therapy appointments last winter were borrowed from Jean and promptly given back. When you have pale skinny legs, shorts look absolutely ridiculous.
I’ll have to go shorts shopping this weekend. Maybe I can find a pair that will look halfway decent. That, combined with a lot of self-tanner and I might not die of embarrassment right there in the lobby.

oh no, hope your hip is ok!
instead of shorts would you be allowed to wear slightly loose yoga capri pants? like these

or these

they are great for working out, and since they are stretchy, you can pull them up as high as shorts if your therapist needs to get at something 🙂
good luck! I’ve spent many hours in PT after various knee surgeries, at least I’ve always found the people to be really friendly.
I think I might be able to get away with gaucho pants…but that’s pretty risky. When I was in PT before, shorts were mandatory. They spent a lot of time wiring and icing underneath the shorts. Groan!
No one in San Francisco wears shorts. When I walk to work in the morning (in a touristy area.) I can always point out the tourists easily because they are all wearing shorts.
And because they are all shivering!
How about a pair of gouchos?
I don’t own a pair of those but I understand they are coming back inot style.
In Chicago here it gets so hot that even though I wear a compression stocking all the way up one leg and not on the other I wear shorts. I can’t stand being hot.
You could wear sweats or jeans and change into shorts.
Thanks for all the tips! I love that I am getting so much support for my “Anti-Shorts” campaign!
