Birthday Contest: Win free concert tickets!
It’s the first ever EmilyStyle.com Contest!
I’m stumped for ideas on how to celebrate my 27th birthday this year. Share your brilliant suggestions for party themes, restaurants or other fun birthday celebration ideas in the comments section. I think there will be about 6-8 people helping me celebrate.
The person with the best birthday idea will win two free tickets to the 17th Annual SF Weekly Music Awards in San Francisco on October 18th. (Or, if you don’t live in SF you’ll get a different but equally awesome prize!)
Enter your best ideas today. We’ll decide the winner on Friday!

silent reader here but I have a suggestion:
Progressive Dinner – appetizers, main course, dessert, and any other courses you want to thow in there all at different places. This can be extremely fun because it lets you have the best of all worlds (and all your personal favorites) and it’s a bit more exciting when you’re dressed to the nines while some of your places might be more on the casual side.
Happy Birthday
I love it when silent readers speak up!
Trent and Jean’s brainstorming ideas:
1. Robin Hood and Royalty. Play up the archery theme with lots of tweed, gold coins, and general theivery.
2. Scavenger Hunt in China Town. Best bargaining skills rewarded.
3. Bicycle polo in the Golden Gate polo fields. You can ride in the rickshaw and dress cute. The rest of them can battle it out.
4. Kites, Kakes, and Krabs: Pretty much self explainatory. Out at Chrissy Fields. Bonus for catching your own krabs (the good kind, not from someone else!).
5. Happy Homosexual-bar Hop. Five favorite bars, five sassy phone numbers. Bonus, dance with hot men with little jealousy from the Robster.
Best of luck planning, we are dying to win the prize. And being quite silly, we know. Enjoy!
You guys are too funny!

if you were having a slightly bigger party, renting out space at the SFMOMA would be really cool

“A great place for a birthday party!”
“Exhilarating; like nothing else on earth!”
