Birthday Contest: Winners!
Since it is already past 5 on the east coast, I guess it is time to announce the winners of our Birthday Contest! All your submissions were really great. Here’s the final list:
- Progressive dinner
- Robin Hood theme party
- Scavenger hunt in Chinatown
- Bike polo
- Kites, Kakes and Krabs
- Hang gliding
- Explortatorium party
- Costume party at Alcatraz
- Painting theme party
- Archery theme party
3rd place goes to….the mysterious anonymous S. for the Alcatraz party with a strange french twist! “Have a costume party at Alcatraz… dress up in trendy stripes, take awesome pictures of fashionista prisoners… wear a beret and have a fondue party afterwords. this endeavour a la francais should be just what the doctor ordered :)” If S will reappear, we’ll figure out a prize to send him/her!
2nd place goes to…Sara who recommended a birthday party at the Exploratorium or SFMoma! I looove museums. If the Exploratorium allowed birthday parties for people over the age of 12, she would have won first place! And as our only (visiting) Bay Area winner, Sara get the two fee tickets to the SF Weekly Music Awards on October 18th!
1st place goes to…Jean and Trent for their cacophony of bizarre and hilarious San Francisco theme parties. My favorite is the Kites, Kakes and Krabs “Pretty much self explanatory. Out at Chrissy Fields. Bonus for catching your own krabs (the good kind, not from someone else!).” For being birthday geniuses, Jean and Trent win a $20 gift certificate to Sur La Table!
Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest. You are all winners in my heart!

We are SO excited!! Seriously! I’d like to thank the acadamy. And Blue Moon Pumpkin Ale, which very much aided our creativity. Are you actually doing any of our ideas?
I had a feeling that beer was an “executive producer” with you guys!
I’m working out the final party details this weekend. I think there may be Krabs and Kakes involved!
I am glad you liked my idea. 🙂
