Music Review: French Pop

Music Review: French Pop

The clouds are back in San Francisco this afternoon and it has put me in a funny mood. A mood, more specifically, tailored perfectly for some French music.

iTunes is great for discovering new tunes from around the world. Along with Carla Bruni, Daran and Serge Gainsbourg, the French band Paris Combo is a favorite find. I have a couple songs from their 2005 album, Attraction. Fibre De Verre and Lettre a Paris are both really good for a cold March day.

I love these French artists too! You should check out Feist, she is Canadian but lives in France. One of my favorites.

I have never heard any French Pop, I don’t think. I will have to look into some of your suggestions. It sounds fun! 🙂 And, fun is good because it’s gray and drizzly here. 🙁

Try Mylene Farmer, Lara Fabian and Laam. These are my favorite french singers.

Ooo, I’ll have to check these guys out. I just recently discovered Charlotte Gainsbourg (very moody music) and have been a long time fan of Stereo Total and the Prototypes.
