What to Wear: Ellen Taping

What to Wear: Ellen Taping

{I’m still crazy-itchy today, but here’s a what to wear post to tide you over.} The key to getting seated in a good row for a show taping? My guess would be bold colors in neutral, Peoria-friendly pieces. Here is Melissa’s request:

My boyfriend and I found out we got tickets to the Ellen DeGeneres show while we’re down in LA! So I was wondering if you had any ideas of what we can wear to increase our chances on being placed in front or at least on the sides to maybe get a chance to dance with Ellen?

The package we got in the mail says no jeans, no logos, no shorts. Any ideas?? I’ve read that stripes are no good on camera either, nor are super bright colors. I’ve read that black is good, but I don’t want to be wearing all black. I think that would be too dark (considering my hair is black too).

I’m petite (only 5 feet), Chinese, with a bit of a tan. I’m also trying not to pack too much for this trip, so clothing that isn’t too bulky would be great. My boyfriend is 5’4″, short hair, Chinese, with broad shoulders.

These outfits are a little on the boring side, but it should play well with the producers. Plus, they’re full of easy to pack pieces that you can wear again in LA.

Let us know if you get a good seat, Melissa!
