Tagged: 7 Random Things About Me
Calie tagged me a while back to come up with 7 random things about myself. I always have the hardest time thinking of these:
- I’ve been to China and loved it. Gung Hay Fat Choy today!
- Rob and I eat a big green salad made with mesclun, balsamic vinegar, olive oil and onion salt with dinner almost every night.
- I’m obsessed with saving money and tend to squirrel it all away.
- My sister and I had pet rats when we were little. Stigma aside, they are the sweetest and smartest animals.
- I think of myself as a bit shabby (hopefully, in that elegant British way). I don’t wear matching undies, my purse isn’t organized, my best white blouse has seen better days, my hair is unruly…and it doesn’t really bother me.
- If I were a superhero or wrestler type, my name could be “Elbows of Fury.” They are deadly sharp.
- My middle name is Frances.

If you loved China, you will love Taiwan also! I went this past summer and it was so beautiful. Everyone there is so cute and there are so many pretty things. The night life is amazing and they have delicious food! I would recommend the beef noodles and then eating mango ice cream if you ever go. 🙂
Cute, cute picture. There is no way you are shabby. I think of you as so put together & in the very best, effortless sort of way, like all your WTW projects.
Oh Em, that picture is adorable. Thanks for doing this! I hope your travels went well this week. Looking forward to see you two on Saturday!
You tagged *me*! I’m so flattered!
Re. rats I babysat a little boy with a pet rat when I was in high school, and it was the sweetest thing–so cute and fun. I think people don’t realize that pet rats and NYC rats are…not the same. (In middle school one of my science teachers bred all kinds of fancy mice and I loved those, too.)
Elbows of fury.. that’s really funny! 🙂 My little girl has those sharp elbows and they can get-cha!
How do I not know you?
Anyway, re:shabbyness, last weekend we were watching Prime Minister Question Time (yes, we tivo it..) and I commented that the British were a very rumpled people. In a lovely way, of course.
