Things I Love Today: Justin Obtuse Port
This 2003 port wine from Justin in Paso Robles was a big hit at Saturday’s dinner party. Rob and I had the bottle for over 4 years, but never got around to opening it. And it just happened to be the right timing for Open that Bottle Night.
The six of us drank the whole delicious bottle while lounging around the table crowded with dishes and candles. I’m not normally a fan of dessert wine, but this was marvelous. Hmm, time to buy a set of port glasses?

I totally agree! A bottle was gifted to us because I married a “Justin” – and – we are such fans. I feel like it takes the priss out of port….(does that even make sense??) Anyway – It is delish – and it will be served in a few weeks at our dinner party, too!
Oh, I miss visiting the wineries in Paso. So beautiful.
Justin Isosceles is one of my favorite wines. If you haven't tried it you should. I grew up in San Luis Obispo/Paso robles and know Justin. He makes GREAT wine!

Another great desert wine from a small winery in paso robles (Tobin is a cool cat too. Their tasting room has an old saloon bar and worth a check if you ever get down to paso)
