I have tried all kinds of mascara, and nothing beats…
Wedding Wednesday: Trousseau
Jean’s trousseau is coming together nicely. I’m adding new embroidered pieces one at a time.
Is there something you received as wedding gift that I should think to include? Or something you wish you could include in your own trousseau?

Maybe a nice mediterrainean ceramic plate to have olives or tomatoes on. Something like this, but maybe made by a local artist or something you have had for years, and she thinks is nice.

*Sigh* You’re so lovely, Emily.
Ooh, so neat! I would love a table runner or other table linens to put down for a special dinner or tea time. Oh, I know – how about embroidered cocktail napkins? You know, the small square ones — you could do retro designs or little martini glasses. I would love a set of those.
I like the idea of a little nighty for the wedding night that she only takes out for each anniversary.
such a lovely idea, what you are doing.
I got the typical napkins, placemats and dish towels, but I also got some unexpected hand-knit trivets/hot pads.
I love them.
Also, no one is going to turn down high thread-count sheets…
(one of my favorite luxuries)
not to be too presumptuous, but something special for a baby (babies)? first outfit? christening gown? baby book?
My maid of honor has always called me Emmaline- for my something blue she had a handkerchief embroidered with “Emmaline” in light blue. I wrapped it around the stems of my bouquet to carry down the aisle. Not exactly part of my trousseau, but became a part of it afterward and one of my favorite things now. -e
