It's so fun to walk around San Francisco at night…
High Budget: All Out in San Francisco
Here’s my dream recipe for an all out splurge in my favorite city:
- Have dinner on the patio at Chez Spencer complete with live pianist and French waiters
- Spend a night at the opera with Irish coffee at intermission
- Have the dungeness crab salad with green goddess dressing for lunch at The Palace Hotel’s Garden Court
- Go for a spa day at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay
- Stay in a deluxe suite in the landmark tower of the St. Francis
- Shop for estate jewelry at Lang Antiques
- Charter a 1960’s wood yacht on the bay with a few friends
- Drinks at the Redwood Room in the Clift Hotel
- Have dinner at Foreign Cinema
- Cap your trip with a sea plane tour of the city

Lang Antiques is the prototypical drool shop. I used to walk by there even as a girl and sigh.
this is wonderful as well…

Great list! FYI, the opera isn't all that expensive compared to any other concert or performance. You can get very good seats for not that much money, or as you listed below, go to Opera in the Park for free. Or Opera at the Ballpark — fabulous and free.
Love the list. I am beyond jealous you got to go to outside lands. I had wanted to go so badly!
Love it! The Palace Hotel is a lovely place to stay also – it's one of my faves in SF!
Irish Coffee at the Buena Vista? Yum…
