To Do: Gardenias
The ladies at Church Street Flowers always impress me. Not only are they geniuses with arrangements, but they also happily indulge me in gardenias and corsages whenever needed.
And their gardenias have some serious lasting power. For $3, these two survived a night in my hair at the opera and a big weekend with guests around the table. Four days later, they’re just starting to fade but still smell wonderful.

our gardenia plants have been going nuts, i have one in a tea cup next to my bed, in a little bowl on the coffee table, and in a cute little vase by the sink. our house smells awesome!
but I am worried they might be done for the season soon, boo.
I love the gardenia scent, just wonderful!
I absolutely have to know: where did you get that little Japanese bowl? It's the one of my set of four – different patterns – that is the exact same one that got chipped by a careless roommate; I've been looking for a replacement online and in stores ever since.
They are so lovely and fragrant, I have one in my apartment right now!
A friend bought it for me back in San Luis Obispo. Probably could find it in Chinatown here in the city.
